A few years ago we helped a company who specializes in golf course irrigation and landscape projects install a 30 mil liner in a Utah pond that was approximately three acres in size. This pond has a history of losing water and did not have the retention capacity for the irrigation upgrades.
The pond was drained down exposing the 30 inch intake pipe.
The rolls of liner were delivered to the site and we proceeded to unload and set them in position along the pond edge.
With the help of seven people and two machines we placed each roll and pulled the liner pieces across the pond. It was challenging work when the wind increased and lifted the liner like a kite. Installation completed in two days.
Each liner panel/piece was welded together creating one big liner, a special liner boot was fit over the 30″ outflow pipe and welded in place. To secure the top edge of the liner aluminum termination bar and screws were installed on the face of the concrete coping. Overall it was fascinating project to accomplish in a short period of time.
