Description
This is a complete aeration system for ponds up to one acre that we have upgraded by providing two larger diffuser pads mounted on metal platforms. The larger diffuser pads provide more bubbles and will stay on the bottom until you decide to move them. The 1/2 hp compressor is energy efficient and produced by Matala, which has a reputation for high-quality aeration products.
Included:
- One weatherproof locking cabinet with a 120-volt cooling fan
- One 120v 1/2 hp. rocking piston compressor with air filter
- One oil-filled pressure gauge.
- One three-way manifold with a pressure relief valve
- 300ft of weighted 3/8″ ID PVC hose
- Three 10-inch diffuser pads with mounting platforms and fittings
- One plastic ground tray to help keep the cabinet out of the mud.
When locating the cabinet, consider keeping it above the pond level or above a potential flood area. If the source of electricity is not close to the pond, it is possible to bury a section of plastic conduit in a trench and push air from the compressor to the pond. We have pushed air through a 3/4″conduit more than 1500 feet. ALWAYS remember to plug the electric cord into a GFI circuit for safety purposes.
