Description

This is a complete aeration system for ponds up to one acre that we have upgraded by providing a larger diffuser pad mounted on a metal platform. The larger diffuser pad provides more bubbles and will stay on the bottom until you decide to move it. The 1/4 hp compressor is energy efficient and produced by Matala, which has a reputation for high-quality aeration products.

Included:

  • One weather-proof locking cabinet with a 120-volt cooling fan
  • One 120V rocking piston compressor with an air filter
  • One oil-filled pressure gauge
  • One two-way manifold with a pressure relief valve
  • 100ft of weighted 3/8″ ID  PVC hose
  • One diffuser pad with mounting platform and fittings
  • One plastic ground tray to help keep the cabinet out of the mud

When locating the cabinet, consider keeping it above the pond level or above a potential flood area. If the source of electricity is not close to the pond, it is possible to bury a section of plastic conduit in a trench and push air from the compressor to the pond. At our farm, we push air through a conduit more than 1500 feet; the compressor cabinet is placed next to one of our barns and works just fine. ALWAYS remember to plug the electric cord into a GFI circuit for safety purposes.
